Diploma in Art & Sculpture
Course description
The Diploma in Art & Sculpture extends the Certificate into a second, advanced year (60 credits total across 4 semesters).
Students declare a Studio Major — Painting or Sculpture — while continuing the other discipline as a minor, and take Critical & Contextual Studies alongside a year-long Personal Investigation: a sustained, self-directed body of research and studio work. Year 2 also embeds Professional Practice for Artists (pricing, contracts, grants, and building an online portfolio) and culminates in a Diploma Capstone: a curated solo graduation exhibition accompanied by a written thesis and public artist talk. Diploma graduates are prepared for direct entry into Year 3 of partner BFA programmes, senior-level portfolio submissions, or professional creative careers.
