AI Foundations for Everyday Life and Work
Course description
AI Foundations for Everyday Life and Work is an introductory AI literacy course for non-specialists — students, teachers, office workers, public servants, freelancers, small business owners, and other adult learners. The course does not train AI engineers; instead, it builds practical understanding, hands-on competence, and sound judgment.
It follows a five-pillar approach: foundational understanding of AI and generative AI, practical application to real tasks, critical judgment and verification of AI outputs, ethics/privacy/risk awareness, and pathways into more advanced or sector-specific study. Delivery is practice-based — learners move through a repeated cycle of demonstration, guided practice, reflection, and application, culminating in a capstone project that applies AI to a real task from their own study, work, or daily life.
